About the Application

Applications will be available online beginning October 1, 2020. See application program pages for application deadlines. Eligible students:
  • are currently enrolled or accepted at a TnCIS member institution
  • have a minimum 2.0 GPA indicated on an official transcript at the time of application and are in “good standing” – this includes academic and disciplinary matters
  • have completed a minimum of 12 college level credit hours (by the start of the program)
  • will be 18 years old by the start of the program
A complete application consists of:
  1. completed online application
  2. nonrefundable $100 application fee (paid at your home institution)
  3. official transcript sent to TnCIS by the registrar at your institution
  4. online recommendation form completed by a professor
Official Transcript: Request an official transcript from your registrar or records office. IMPORTANT: Transcripts marked as Issued To Student will not be accepted. Only official transcripts issued directly to TnCIS will be accepted. Eligible students must have a minimum 2.0 GPA indicated on the official transcript at the time of application and be in "good standing". This includes academic and disciplinary matters. The transcript should also include any/all in progress courses to verify you are currently enrolled at the institution.

TnCIS is also able to accept E-transcripts from TBR Community Colleges through National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). Check with your institution for instructions on how to submit your e-transcript through NSC. If your home institution uses a different e-transcript vendor, you must send an official transcript by requesting a paper copy from your registrar/records office per the instructions above.

Online Recommendation Form:  You will request a recommendation from a person of your designation as part of the online application. Be sure you know their correct email address when setting up the recommendation request through your online application. The recommendation should be completed by a professor who can make a statement regarding your preparedness for the program and has had you as a student in a course they teach.

Acceptance Notification Process:  Students will be notified of acceptance by email. Once accepted, please complete the additional important information that will be provided to you through your TnCIS Student Portal. In international travel, frequent changes are to be expected. Email is the primary channel of communication for the TnCIS office and you will be responsible for information sent to the email address you provide to create your applicant profile. This information is intended to keep you updated on all activities necessary in your preparation to participate in the program.

Student Portal:  The TnCIS Student Portal has been created to allow students a self-service option for tracking their progress in completing required documentation and steps involved in studying abroad with TnCIS. Students will have unlimited access 24/7 to view what documents and payments have been received by TnCIS. They will also be able to find out what is still missing from their application and be proactive in keeping up with the items that still must be completed in the process. Students click on "apply now" on any program web page to start an application.  

PSCC Students
You will login using your MyPellissippi username and password.  You do not need to create a new username or password.  Basic profile data about you such as your name, DOB, major, GPA, etc. will be automatically populated from the PSCC student information system.  This information is view-only and cannot be edited in the software directly.  Please request any changes by emailing the TnCIS office at tncis@pstcc.edu.
 
Non-PSCC Students
Create a new user account by clicking on the Login prompt in the top right corner of the homepage. Follow the instructions to create an account to request advising or to begin your program search. After clicking on the 'Apply Now' button of the desired program, you will be prompted to provide more basic data about yourself and then can begin the online application process. 

Program Forms: Other important forms you need to review prior to submitting your application include the program contract, agreement to provide services, European Union Notification & Consent, medical surrogacy and medical history forms. These forms will be filled out by the applicant after being accepted into the program and submitted to the TnCIS office by designated deadlines. Details will be sent out in the acceptance notification email. These forms are updated every year as needed. DO NOT complete the forms before being accepted.
