Study abroad scholarships are available at many of the TnCIS member institutions. On the right, you will find links to scholarships available to TnCIS participants from individual member institutions. Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
- This is a federally funded scholarship through IIE. All TnCIS programs qualify for a Gilman Grant for community college students. This grant is competitive and available to students who currently receive a Pell Grant.
The Critical Language Scholarship Program
- The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program offers fully-funded
summer language institutes for U.S. university students and is sponsored
by the U.S. Department of State.
- Boren Scholarships and Fellowships provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
