Program Location
London, England, the location for this program, is one of the most important world capitals. It is a cultural center not only for the United Kingdom and the former British Empire, but also for the entire world. London is teeming with theaters, museums, and monuments, as well as restaurants and ethnic neighborhoods which represent virtually all of the cultures of the world. Students in this program will live close to the city center and experience this diversity every day.
Program Description
Global education is an increasingly important part of a collegiate education. This program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to broaden their horizons, to have a multi-cultural experience, to meet new people and learn new ideas, and to internationalize their educations. Students will survey and study various topics of drama as it relates to the theatre and everyday life.
Cultural Excursions:
Students will see at least eight London theatre district shows.
Local Excursions:
There will be a full day train excursion to Stratford-Upon-Avon to visit all the Shakespeare Houses. Students will also visit numerous historic London sites including the London Tower and Westminster Abbey.
Classes:
Students will meet for classes three hours each morning during the week. There will also be a one hour meeting prior to each of the eight shows to discuss background, plot, playwright, set design, etc. for the show to be seen during the evening.
Accommodations:
Rooms with breakfast will be provided at a college dormitory in London. As a special feature of the program, students will be treated to four different ethnic dinners at London restaurants.

Financial Aid:
Applications for financial aid (scholarships, grants and student loans) must be made through your home institution. Please consult your TnCIS campus representative for information and instructions.
Mandatory Orientation:
A thorough pre-departure orientation is an essential part of your preparation to study abroad. The mandatory TnCIS orientation for all programs will be held Saturday, March 29, 2008, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Exact time and place will be announced at the beginning of March. Please plan to attend.

Late Applications will be considered on a space available basis.
A complete application consists of:
- The completed on line application
- The deposit of $100 (paid to the cashier at your home institution)
- An official transcript sent to TnCIS at the address below directly by the registrar at your institution
Complete applications will be considered beginning February 29, 2008 and you will be notified of acceptance shortly after that date.
Program Fee and Deadline
Students will register and pay fees on their home campuses. The cost to the student will be $4270. The fee includes tuition, round trip air travel from Tennessee to London, England, all excursion transportation in London, room, breakfast and lunch everyday, four special ethnic dinners, admission fees on local excursions, and eight London theater tickets. Expenses not covered by the fee include: passport, health insurance, textbooks, and personal spending money.
Payment Deadlines:
February 28: Deposit of $100
March 20: Full payment of $3880
Total: $3980
Cancellation Policy:
Before February 28: Full refund.
Between February 28 and March 20: Full refund except for $100 deposit.
Between March 20 and April 28: $1,400 cancellation fee.
After April 28: No refund.
