Gilman Grants Available to Summer Study Abroad Applicants

This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. The program aims to diversify the kinds of students who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go by supporting undergraduates who might otherwise not participate due to financial constraints. The Gilman Scholarship Program will be offering awards for Summer 2012 study abroad programs up to $5,000.  The deadline for summer applications is March 1, 2012.  Gilman eligible programs offered through TnCIS are Brazil, China, Ecuador/Galapagos Islands and Spain III.  Please check their website for updates concerning Summer 2012 eligibility information. http://www.iie.org/en/Programs/Gilman-Scholarship-Program
